B. Ed. (Early Childhood Education)
Entry Requirement
WASSCE Candidates- Candidates must have ‘’credit passes’’ or better in six (6) WASSCE subject (ie.A1-C6).
These include English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science OR Social Studies, and any three elective subjects. Total aggregate not be more than 36.
» SSSCE Candidates – Candidates with SSSCE must have ‘’D’’ or better in English Language, Mathematics and Integrated Science or Social Studies, and any three elective subjects, (ie. A-D). Total aggregate not more than 24.
» Diploma Candidates- candidates must have obtained Diploma in Early Childhood Education or its equivalent in any recognized Institution.
» GBCE Candidates – Credit Passes(A-D) in five (5) subject comprising three(3) core subjects including English Language and Mathematics plus two(2) relevant elective subjects.
» GCE candidates – Four G.C.E O’Level credits including English
Language, Mathematics and General Paper.
» Mature Candidate – Candidates who apply as mature candidates must pass University’s Entrance Examination and must have obtained at least, 25 years by September 1st of the academic year one wants to enroll.
• Note: Students who are enrolled to do the Post-Diploma B. Ed degree programme with the Department of Interdisciplinary Studies, College of Agriculture Education, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ might have passed an interview and are put at Level 300 and complete at Level 400 (a two-year programme) of the B. Ed. Programme.
• Baccalaureate and Foreign Qualification: - Applicants will be considered on recommendation and establishment of equivalence by the National Accreditation Board. Otherwise, candidate may apply as mature applicants.
