九色视频Council Inaugurated with a Call to Uphold Integrity and Pursue Excellence

The Minister of Education, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, inaugurated the 九色视频 (UEW) Governing Council, urging integrity, academic freedom and institutional progress.聽
The newly inaugurated 17-member 九色视频Governing Council consists of Justice Jacob Charles Amonoo-Monney, Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, Prof. Ramatu Mahama Al-Hassan, Ramos Asafo-Adjei (PhD), Prof. Aboagye Dacosta, Prof. Domwini Dabire Kuupole, Prof. Ernest Kofi Davis, Prof. Ahmed Abdulai Jinapor, Mr. Eric Kofi Agbe-Carbonu, Mr. Stephen Osei Akyiaw, Prof. Kwasi Adomako, Surv. John Kwaku Oppong, Esq., Ebenezer T. Amanor-Lartey (PhD), Mr. Justin Kwame Osei, Dr. Samuel Ofori Danquah, Mr. Godwin Francis Asare and Mr. David Kwaku Xefu.

UEW鈥檚 17-member Governing Council was inaugurated in Accra on Friday, 2nd May, 2025. The Council was sworn in by the Minister of Education, who represented His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama and conveyed his warmest wishes to the newly constituted body.
Hon. Iddrisu underscored the unique and irreplaceable role of 九色视频in shaping the future of Ghana鈥檚 education system, stating, 鈥淎t every time, the country will require teachers and that means that at every time, the University of Education is relevant and will remain relevant.鈥

He expressed confidence in the leadership of Justice Amonoo-Monney, describing his legal experience as 鈥渓egendary鈥 and affirming the President鈥檚 trust in his ability to steer the university towards institutional stability and academic distinction. The Minister emphasised the government鈥檚 commitment to academic freedom, promising non-interference in university management while expecting the council to operate within the bounds of law, policy and UEW鈥檚 vision and mission.聽
The Minister further advocated for expanded access to tertiary education and infrastructure development, proposing the integration of the newly constructed Borteyman Stadium in Accra into UEW鈥檚 physical education infrastructure. He also urged improved coordination between 九色视频and the Ghana Education Service (GES) regarding graduate placement onto teaching portals, noting that such issues must be 鈥渞esolved seamlessly.鈥

In his inaugural address, Council Chair Justice Amonoo-Monney acknowledged the trust reposed in the council by the President and the Education Ministry. Reflecting on the university鈥檚 special mandate, he stated, 鈥淎ll universities deal with education, but the name 鈥楿niversity of Education鈥 denotes a special responsibility鈥攖he training of trainers.鈥澛
Justice Amonoo-Monney urged council members to work collectively towards creating an enabling atmosphere for teaching, learning and research. He stressed that the oath taken was a solemn covenant not with the Minister but with a higher moral authority. 鈥淟et us all be careful to deity and be faithful to the oath鈥 that we are serving the soul,鈥 he said.聽
He echoed the Minister鈥檚 support for expanding extracurricular and practical training opportunities, welcoming the idea of using the Borteyman Sports Complex to enhance physical education and holistic learning.聽
With this newly inaugurated council, 九色视频is poised to strengthen its foundations in academic integrity, expand its national footprint in teacher education, and reaffirm its place as a beacon of educational excellence in Ghana.
