I bring warm felicitations from the Department of Management Sciences, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ to you as we begin the second semester of the 2021/2022 academic year. I am glad to have you as colleague staff and students in an academic department that is dedicated to the ideals of excellence and innovation in the development of world-class professionals in diverse areas of management. I wish to assure you of our relentless zeal and unalloyed commitment to pursuing our mission of making an exceptional impact on our students, businesses and society as a whole through cutting-edge teaching, research and external engagement in the broad field of management. With our young and dynamic faculty, we will continue to provide the enabling environment which fosters the generation and dissemination of groundbreaking knowledge that advances management practice in Ghana and the world at large and strive to create a symbiotic relationship with industry to provide the drive for the rapid development of society.

Besides the existing undergraduate and postgraduate programmes currently offered in the department (Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Business Administration in Business Information Systems, Bachelor of Science in Management Education, Master of Business Administration in Human Resource Management, Master of Business Administration in Management Information Systems and Master of Philosophy in Human Resource Management), work is far advanced in developing additional programmes (Master of Science Administration and Management and Master of Science Project Management) tailored to cater for the unique needs of prospective students. Our doors are always opened especially to you my dear students who may need assistance as you sail through your academic journey.

Profile of the Department

The Department of Management Sciences formerly Department of Human Resource Management was established in September 2017, under the School of Business, ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. It is located at the former Administration Block at the South Campus (Winneba Campus). The Department offers the following programmes Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) in Human Resource Management, Bachelor of Science(BSc) in Management Education, Bachelor of Business Administration(BBA) in Business Information System, Master of Philosophy(MPhil) Ìýin Human Resource Management and Master of Business Administration(MBA) Human Resource Management. There are over 1,000 students enrolled on the undergraduate programmes and 75 enrolled on the postgraduate programmes. The Department is committed to offering programmes that provide insights into critical areas of managing the Human Resources and Information Systems within organizations. The Department continues to support and pursue the mission of the University which includes: teaching, research, and service to the community.
