SRC Supports FES and School of Creative Arts

The Students’ Representative Council (SRC) of the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµ has donated public address systems to the Faculty of Educational Studies (FES), School of Creative Arts and some Departments of the University.
The items consisted of four sets of corner speakers to be fixed at FES lecture halls, two sets of corner speakers for two lecture halls at the School of Creative Arts, a set of the same items for the South Campus Assembly hall and one megaphone for the council’s publicity committee. These items are to amplify sound in the selected places to facilitate the smooth and successful teaching and learning in the University.
Remarking at the presentations, the SRC President, Mr. Emmanuel Oduro Fosu stated that the donation was in fulfillment of a campaign promise to students and the Faculties. He urged students particularly class representatives to take proper care of the items. He added that for SRC to ensure longevity of the items, the items would be stored properly in well secured places.
Receiving the items on behalf of FES, the Head, Department of Early Childhood Education, Dr. Yayra Dzakadzie commended the leadership of SRC for the kind gesture. He urged upcoming leaders of the Council to emulate the acts of the current leadership. He assured of his outfit’s readiness to put safety measures in place for proper handling of the items.  Â
Also present at the short ceremony were the Head, Department of Basic Education, Dr. Sakina Acquah; and Faculty Officer, Mr. Benjamin Aiduenu. Among the SRC leadership present were the General Secretary, Mr. Michael Kesse Adu; Deputy Chairman, Project Committee, Mr. Justice Antwi; Secretary, Project Committee, Mr. Raymond Apedo; Member, Project Committee, Mr. Joel Kwaku Sie; Chairman, Sanitation and Housing Committee, Mr. Gideon Kofi Osei; and Chairman, Entertainment Committee, Mr. Hayford Gyan.Â
