The term of office of the Convocation Representatives on ��ɫ��ƵGoverning Council came to an end on 2ndJune, 2024.�� Section 8 (1) of the��University of Education Act (672)��provides that: “Every member of the Council except the Vice-Chancellor and Principals shall hold office for a period of two years and is eligible for re-appointment’.

Statute 70 (2) of the����ɫ��ƵStatutes 2020��also provides that: “The term of office of a Convocation Representative on Council shall be two (2) years and eligible for a further term of two (2) years only.”

As a result, four (4) vacancies have been created in the Convocation slots on Council.�� Elections will therefore be organised on the two Campuses.

Nominations are open for three (3) representatives for Winneba Campus, and one (1) representative for Ajumako Campus.

A member wishing to contest shall be nominated by an eligible Convocation member.�� The nomination should be supported by another member of Convocation after which the nominee shall give his/her consent.

Prescribed nomination forms can be downloaded from the ��ɫ��ƵWebsite or obtained from the Department of Publishing and Web Development (Emmanuel Kwasi Ampene Block, Room 218) Winneba Campus and the College Registrar’s Office, Ajumako Campus.
