The Level 400 Physics Education students from the ��ɫ��Ƶ (UEW), as part of their course “Technology in Physics Education” for the second semester, visited the Osagyefo Library on July 4, 2024, upon the request of their lecturer Prof. M. K. Amedeker. The purpose of this visit was to familiarise themselves with the library's resources and services, understand how technological advancements support physics education through these resources, and prepare for their term essays.

The visit began with an orientation session conducted by seasoned library staff. During this session, students were introduced to the layout and various sections of the library, including Reader Services, Serials, Electronic Resources, Cataloguing and Acquisitions. They received detailed information on how the library acquires and catalogues materials, library policies, borrowing procedures, and electronic resources available and how to access them.

Following the orientation, students participated in a guided tour of the library. This tour allowed them to explore each section relevant to their academic needs, with a particular focus on resources beneficial for physics education. They were introduced to various print books, journals, online academic databases, and other resources. Students learned how to access and utilise technological resources available in the library, such as the WINNOPAC, online academic databases, e-books, MyLOFT off-campus access, and the 3M book detection system.

Throughout the visit, interactive question-and-answer sessions were held, providing students with opportunities to clarify their doubts and seek further information. Discussions covered effective research strategies, citation methods, and the integration of technology in accessing and utilising library resources.

A total of seventy-seven (77) students participated in the programme. The visit proved to be a valuable experience as it aligned with the course objectives of integrating technology into physics education. This experience not only broadened their knowledge of the resources available to them but also reinforced the importance of technology in modern academic research and physics education.
