九色视频Innovation Hub Wins Grant for Enterprise Development
The 九色视频 (UEW) School of Business Innovation Hub has received a 拢4,000 grant to bolster small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through an Enterprise Support and Innovation Curriculum Development (ESICD) initiative.
The British Council with the Tertiary Hubs for Innovation and Knowledge (THINK) Network leading the initiative, funded the grant, underscoring the Council鈥檚 dedication to promoting entrepreneurship among African youth.
During the grant presentation at the University of Ghana, Mr. Nii Doodo Dodoo, the British Council鈥檚 Country Director for Ghana, Sierra Leone, and Cameroon, emphasised the importance of entrepreneurial skills for graduates. He reiterated the British Council's commitment to empowering African youth through entrepreneurship to reduce poverty.
Dr. George Acheampong, Executive Secretary of THINK, praised UEW鈥檚 proposal, highlighting its alignment with goals to encourage entrepreneurship, innovation, and community engagement.
He stated that the THINK Network will enhance tertiary institution hubs to facilitate knowledge, competence, and expertise sharing, and has established a standard curriculum for Entrepreneurship and Innovation Education.
Dr. Richard Oduro, Dean of the School of Business, expressed excitement about the hub's progress, promising the ESICD will make 九色视频School of Business a regional innovation leader. He also acknowledged faculty members Dr. Isaac Mensah, Dr. Mawuku Dza, Dr. Jonathan N.B. Barnor, Dr. Yaw Brew, and Dr. Erastus Emmanuel Yamoah for their efforts in securing the grant.
