Mr. Bodua-Mango, Kenneth

Biography
Bodua-Mango Kenneth is currently a lecturer at the Department of Gur-Gonja Education, University of Education Winneba. He is also a PhD candidate at the University of Ghana, Legon. He graduated from the University of Ghana, Legon in 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Linguistics. He did a mandatory one-year national service as a teaching and research assistant at the Department of Linguistics, University of Ghana, Legon. In 2010, he won a scholarship from the Norwegian Government under the quota scheme to pursue an MPhil programme in Linguistics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU), Trondheim and graduated in 2012. As part of the requirements for the MPhil programme in Linguistics at NTNU, he wrote a corpus-based thesis on Coordinators in Safaliba; a Gur (Mabia) language spoken in the Savanah Region of Ghana. He is currently working on coordination and serial verb constructions for his PhD dissertation.
From September 2015 to October 2018, he worked as an Assistant lecturer at the Department of Gur-Gonja Education, University of Education Winneba, teaching General Linguistics and Gonja. In May 2019, he took up a role as a Tutor at the Accra College of Education. He returned to the Department of Gur-Gonja Education, University of Education Winneba in 2022 as a Lecturer in General Linguistics and Gonja.
Kenneth is a 2019 AFSOAS Scholarship recipient for an intensive language documentation-training program hosted by the Endangered Languages Documentation Programme at SOAS. He is also a recipient of the Volkswagen Foundation Travel Scholarship to attend the Lagos Summer School in Digital Humanities (LSSDH-2021) held from 9th - 15th May 2021. Kenneth is also a recipient of the Norwegian Government Quota scheme from 2010 – 2012.
Kenneth has provided consulting services to a number of international organizations, including USAID-METSS, USAID-Learning, and World Education, Ghana.
He has written academic articles and book chapters on various topical issues in Safaliba and Gonja linguistics for both domestic and foreign publications and publishers. He has contributed to the writing of technical reports for USAID-METSS, USAID-Learning, and World Education, Ghana. He reviews articles for some respected academic journals. He is a number of professional organizations, including Linguistics Association of Ghana (LAG), Association of Teachers of Ghanaian Languages (ASGHL) and the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG).
