ThisÌý studyÌý soughtÌý toÌý examineÌý theÌý counsellingÌý needsÌý ofÌý divorceesÌý andÌý theirÌý childrenÌý inÌý theÌý AsogliÌý inÌý theÌý HoÌý Municipality.Ìý TheÌý studyÌý employed qualitative approach specifically phenomenological research designÌý toÌý investigateÌý theÌý phenomenon.Ìý AÌý totalÌý ofÌý 20Ìý respondentsÌý wereÌý employedÌý inÌý theÌý study,Ìý withÌý 14Ìý divorcedÌý womenÌý andÌý menÌý andÌý 6Ìý childrenÌý ofÌý divorceÌý participating.Ìý TheÌý respondentsÌý wereÌý selectedÌý using snowball and purposive sampling approaches. The information wasÌý acquiredÌý throughÌý semi-structuredÌý interviewsÌý andÌý focusedÌý groupÌý discussion guides, among other methods. According to the findings, itÌý wasÌý revealedÌý thatÌý divorceesÌý andÌý theirÌý childrenÌý soughtÌý guidanceÌý fromÌýÌý parents,ÌýÌý chiefs,ÌýÌý elders,ÌýÌý relatives,ÌýÌý pastors,ÌýÌý andÌýÌý traditionalÌýÌý medicineÌý men.Ìý TheÌý stateÌý ofÌý AsogliÌý hasÌý noÌý professionalÌý counsellorsÌý orÌý counsellingÌý services.Ìý Moreover,Ìý theÌý divorceesÌý wereÌý unawareÌý ofÌý availableÌý counsellingÌý options.Ìý TheÌý studyÌý recommendsÌý thatÌý divorceesÌý who are primarily single parents have marital counselling and/or post-traumatic stress disorder treatment (PTSD). In this regard, the creation of community-based counselling centres in the state of Asogli for this aimÌý wouldÌý beÌý aÌý commendableÌý stepÌý forward.Ìý AtÌý theÌý endÌý ofÌý theÌý day:Ìý TheÌý DistrictÌý Assembly,Ìý traditionalÌý rulersÌý inÌý theÌý stateÌý ofÌý Asogli,Ìý civilÌý society organizations, and government institutions should all provide servicesÌý toÌý divorceesÌý andÌý theirÌý children,Ìý includingÌý careÌý andÌý support.Ìý scholarships for children of divorced parents, among other things.
