I have ten (10) years of experience as an educator and researcher in Information Technology with sound knowledge of teaching, mentoring and supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
I have worked in the position of a Lecturer, and currently as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of ICT Education in the Faculty of Science Education of my University. I have also served my university in the capacity of Exams Officer, Patron and academic counsellor to students in my department and currently as the general ICT course coordinator.
I have an innate passion for teaching and have taught several courses from year one to year four in our undergraduate ICT Education programme. The value I seek to bring includes offering quality education to my students, encouraging creativity and higher-order thinking in a way that increases students’ performance, and collaborating with colleagues in my department and field to conduct cutting-edge research that will improve teaching and learning in my field.
I am passionate about many things - teaching, children, poetry, art, everything food, and animals. I am also passionate about young females getting into IT. I hope to inspire many young females by mentoring them and being a role model for them. My goal is to make an impact on many young females by empowering them and helping them have a sense of connectedness and fulfilment in choosing IT as a career.Ìý
