Functions of CIP

Since

The functions of the Centre includes, but not limited to,

  • driving the University’s internationalization programmes.
  • leading and coordinating the University’s activities in international image building.
  • helping to promote good will between ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµand its international stakeholders/partners
  • establishing linkages with foreign universities and other institutions for mutual benefit
  • ensuring visibility of the University worldwide.
  • conceptualizing, planning, organizing, monitoring, evaluating and managing UEW’s international programmes
  • collaborating with the Legal Office of ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµto prepare Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) to regulate the University’s relations with partner institutions.
  • collaborating with relevant departments to design and run programmes for international students
  • researching into international education, especially in africa, in order to inform the development of programmes that target the regional and international community
  • helping to recruit international students for the university
  • facilitating collaborative research and exchange of staff and students
  • keeping international students’ records
  • providing student services to international students
  • promoting and supporting international academic conferences and workshops
  • facilitating international mobility programmes
  • proposing/implementing policy on student mobility including credit transfer between ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓÆµand its partner institutions
  • seeking for grants and funding opportunities for students who study outside Ghana.
