UEW-ICT Delegation Explores Strategic Partnership with Angola Embassy

A delegation from the Faculty of Science Education (FSE), 九色视频 (UEW), has engaged the Ambassador of Angola to Ghana, His Excellency Jo茫o Domingos Baptista Quiosa, in a pivotal discussion to explore opportunities for academic collaboration and technological advancement.
The four-member delegation was led by Prof. Arkoful Sam, Vice-Dean of FSE at UEW, and included Prof. Delali Kwasi Dake, Head of the Department of ICT Education; Dr. Stephen Oppong Opoku, Chief Patron of INFOCTESS-UEW; and Mr. Ernest Koomson, President of INFOCTESS-UEW.
Prof. Delali Kwasi Dake introduced the delegation and reiterated the purpose of the visit. He referenced prior correspondence with the Ambassador鈥檚 office, emphasising the mutual benefits of fostering collaboration between 九色视频and Angolan institutions.
Prof. Dake reaffirmed UEW鈥檚 commitment to bridging technological gaps and ensuring students and faculty benefit from enhanced digital resources.

Ambassador Quiosa pledged his full support for the initiative and proposed expanding academic ties through faculty and student exchange programmes.
While supporting the initiative, Ambassador Quiosa noted that Angola has a university dedicated to training teaching professionals. However, he acknowledged that language barriers pose challenges to knowledge exchange. He emphasised the need for early communication with the 九色视频Vice-Chancellor to facilitate collaboration and ensure seamless academic engagement.
The Ambassador also highlighted potential partnerships with institutions like the Catholic University of Angola, which has expressed interest in engaging with 九色视频on academic and research collaborations.
A key highlight of the discussion was Ambassador Quiosa鈥檚 revelation that he had been in talks with fellow ambassadors to explore ways to provide laptops for underprivileged schools in Ghana. Given UEW鈥檚 request for ICT support, he assured the delegation that he would revisit these discussions with his colleagues to assess the feasibility of integrating UEW鈥檚 initiative into this broader digital support plan.
Expressing appreciation for the Ambassador鈥檚 openness to collaboration, Prof. Arkoful Sam reaffirmed UEW鈥檚 dedication to fostering international partnerships, particularly in ICT and teacher education, to drive innovation and global knowledge exchange.
