Welcoming the delegation, Neenyi Ghartey VII expressed his appreciation for the visit and the formal introduction of the Council Chair. He commended the leadership for fostering transparency and unity, urging Justice Amonoo-Monney to collaborate closely with the Chancellor’s Office and university management to promote lasting peace and academic excellence at UEW. He emphasised that stability and mutual understanding among the university's governing body and constituent authorities were critical to the effective delivery of its mandate.

In his response, Justice Amonoo-Monney expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and the confidence reposed in him by the goverment. He pledged his full commitment to working with all stakeholders to maintain peace, enhance institutional integrity, and improve the international visibility of UEW. “I am dedicated to serving with diligence and transparency and to partnering with university leadership to uphold the core values and mission of UEW,” he stated.

Prof. Mitchual highlighted the importance of the relationship between the Chancellor and the University Council, describing it as vital to the success of UEW’s strategic objectives. He reiterated management’s readiness to support the Council Chair in the fulfillment of his duties and in advancing the University’s reputation both locally and internationally.
