Gifty Appiah-Adjei (PhD) is a Senior Lecturer and the current Ag. Head of��the Department of Journalism and Media Studies in the School of Communication and Media Studies at the ��ɫ��Ƶ. She is a�� Senior Research Associate at the University of Johannesburg, South Africa. She has served as the Graduate Co-Ordinator for the School of Communication and Media Studies (2020-2021) and the Examinations Officer of the Department of Communication and Media Studies (2019-2020). She has been serving as the Co-chair of the working group of Africa for Journalism Safety Research Network since April 2023.��She holds a PhD in Applied Communication from the University of Ibadan, Nigeria (2018). Also, she has a postgraduate degree in Communication and Media Studies (��ɫ��Ƶ). She has supervised fourteen MPhil theses and seven MA theses. She has attended conferences and presented papers in Accra (Ghana), Paris (France), Oslo (Norway), Moscow (Russia),��Oklahoma (USA), Sheffield (UK) and Sydney (Australia). She has thirteen publications comprising journal articles, book chapters, and a book to her credit.�� ��
