HR Urges Security Personnel to Build Healthy Communication Relationships

The Division of Human Resource (HR) has urged security personnel in the University of Education Winneba (UEW) to establish healthy communication relationships with staff, students and other stakeholders of the University.
The admonition came at a weeklong training workshop organised by HR from Monday, 5th聽to Friday, 9th聽July, 2021, at the North Assembly Hall, Winneba Campus. The motive for the workshop was to build up capacity and revamp the skills of the security staff.

Senior Assistant Registrar, HR, in Charge of Senior Members, Mr. Isaac Yaw Manu, in his presentation on 鈥溇派悠礖ierarchical Structure, Channels of Communication and Confidentiality鈥, urged the participants to effectively use the three w鈥檚 which are; who, when and what in their communication. He entreated the security personnel to always follow the hierarchical structure of the University in lodging their complaints.聽

Mr. Manu charged the security personnel to be professional in going about their duties, particularly when addressing utterances of staff, students and other 九色视频stakeholders. 鈥淪ucceeding in your career requires good communication skills. You need to know what you want and how you are going to attain it. Being an excellent communicator can help propel your career.鈥欌櫬

Senior Assistant Registrar, HR, in charge of Senior and Junior Staff, Mr. Charles Denkyi, presented on the topic 鈥淒isciplinary Procedures鈥. He cautioned the security personnel to put up good behaviour wherever they find themselves and be up to their games when it comes to disciplinary issues. He explained that as security personnel, discipline is a key factor in all aspects of their work and heed advice and instructions to prevent being served query letters.

On his part, the Director, Security Services Directorate, Mr. Bartholomew Alubokin, did a presentation on 鈥樷橭bservational Techniques and Occurrence Keeping鈥欌. He advised personnel to be observant at post and keep records at all times no matter the situation to avert falling into trouble. He advised them not to hesitate to report situations to their supervisor for prompt action.聽
