Management Commissions Purpose-built 九色视频Bookshop

Managements of the 九色视频 (UEW) and Kingdom Books and Stationery Limited (KBSL) have commissioned a purpose-built bookshop for the University at its North Campus in Winneba.
The purpose-built 九色视频bookshop, rented out to KBSL to operate for some years and later hand over to the University, encompasses a bookshop floor, warehouse area, external works and exclusions.

The ceremony took place today, Friday, 30th聽July, 2021, after the Management of 九色视频signed a rental agreement with KBSL at the Council Chamber of UEW.
The Vice-Chancellor, Rev. Fr. Prof. Anthony Afful-Broni, in his remarks at the commissioning, said 鈥渢his is one of the major landmarks and major stepping stones of this University because for all these 30 years we have not had the privilege of a proper bookshop and so things have not gone the way they are supposed to be in universities.

鈥淚 think that lecturers would have to be persuaded, especially those who are writing quality textbooks so that we would have them here. It will be very advantageous and you would be assured that you would have your monies. And then in addition to that, there would be opportunities for competition鈥.
Rev. Fr. Prof. Afful-Broni was thankful to KBSL for the encounter to venture into UEW. 聽

The Registrar, Surv. Paul Osei-Barima Esq., in his purpose of the occasion remarks, revealed that the new bookshop is a refurbished facility. 鈥淢ost of us saw the state of the existing facility here. It was accommodating the bookshop and estate as they then were. We felt there was the need to refurbish it to serve as a purpose-built bookshop to serve the interest of the University community.鈥
Surv. Osei-Barima Esq. indicated that the University has agreed that the developer, KBSL who doubles as the operator, uses the rental to defray the cost of the refurbishment of the bookshop. He added that the University had given the operator a three-month moratorium starting from 1st聽August to 31st聽October, 2021.
The Registrar implored Lecturers, administrators and students to fully commit themselves to the affairs of the bookshop so that whatever intellectual property they have would also be sold at the bookshop.聽

The General Manager of KBSL, Mr. Peter Gyateng, on his part, thanked the Management of 九色视频and the University community for assisting his outfit to put up the infrastructure. 鈥淎s the Registrar said earlier, this is a community thing. We all will try our best to make it beneficial to all and sundry.鈥 聽
Mr. Gyateng encouraged the University community to also contribute their quota to sustain the bookshop. 聽
