School of Business Embarks on Three-day Retreat

The School of Business, 九色视频 (UEW), has undergone a three-day retreat at the Royal Lee鈥檚 Hotel, Tutu-Aburi in the Eastern Region of Ghana, from Thursday, 11th to Saturday, 13th November, 2021.

The three-day retreat was under the theme: 鈥淧ositioning the School of Business to actively participate in the internal fund generation agenda of UEW鈥.聽

The Dean, Prof. Braimah Awaisu Imurana, welcoming participants to the retreat underscored the importance of academic retreats and encouraged staff to leverage the opportunity to position the School of Business as a Center of Excellence.聽

He charged staff to do everything within their capacity to contribute meaningfully to the growth of the School as a way of leaving an indelible mark for posterity. Prof. Imurana expressed satisfaction with the commitment shown by Faculty Members in making the retreat a success.聽

The retreat, which had several segments, was organised to equip staff with the requisite skills in the area of grant proposal writing, programme accreditation, academic dishonesty, and programme development.聽

The retreat relied on renowned internal and external resource persons. Notable among them were the Ag Head of 九色视频Planning Unit, Mr. Prince Asiedu; Director of Basic Schools and Law Lecturer, Mr. Alhassan Salifu Bawah; Dr. Daniel Agbeko and Prof. Braimah Imurana.聽

The four Departments of the School met in caucus to develop new academic programmes after the preliminary presentation.
