Mr. Tetteh, Alex

Biography
Alex Tetteh is a versatile teacher-educator currently with the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ. I have been in the teaching profession since 2006, where I taught as Primary 5 teacher in my alma mater— Amoaya Anglican Primary School. Later, while pursuing my first degree in Social Sciences Education (Economics & Geography) at the University of Cape Coast, I taught intermittently in a number of schools. I obtained Masters in Curriculum Studies (Economics) in 2014 from the University of Cape Coast. After teaching Economics at Wesley Girls’ High School in Cape Coast for over two and half years, I was appointed as a lecturer in the Presbyterian University (Akuapem Campus) and taught there for 5 years. I later joined the ¾ÅÉ«ÊÓƵ, in July 2021 and have been teaching and researching in curriculum and pedagogy issues in the Department of Educational Foundations. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Curriculum and Teaching in the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. My passion for teaching is anchored in that rare opportunity for continual learning and growth imbued in the challenge of helping students to achieve their fullest potential. I believe that in the teaching profession, one thing that is soothingly fulfilling is to see traces of your contribution in the success of every student that went through your hand— it is for this reason that I teach with passion and with the mindset that every student counts.
