Joseph Kobina Essibu is a Soil Scientist at the Department of Agricultural Education, UEW, and currently holds the position of Board Chair for the Ghana Cocoa Marketing Company, Senya Senior High School, while also serving as a board member at the School of Agriculture, University of Ghana. His academic journey includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Science with a specialization in Soil Science from the University of Ghana, a Master of Philosophy degree in Soil Science from the same institution, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Education from the University of Malaysia. With a diverse research portfolio, Essibu has explored various subjects, including soil chemistry and fertility, the application of biochar in agriculture for enhanced carbon sequestration, climate change mitigation and adaptation, integrated soil fertility management, and the remediation of science students in senior high schools. These varied roles underscore his commitment to advancing agricultural education and addressing broader issues related to soil science, climate change, and remediation in Ghanaian senior high schools.

In addition to his academic contributions, he has a substantial publication record, contributing to journals on topics ranging from educational performance analysis to soil science. He actively engages in seminars and workshops, addressing a range of subjects in the field of soil science and education. Furthermore, his involvement in student development is evident through his supervision of dissertations since 2020, focusing on topics such as utilizing teaching materials to enhance academic achievement and improving attitudes towards learning. His dedication to education and leadership has been recognized with honors, including his appointment as an Honorary Professor in Education and Innovation by Alfred Nobel University in Ukraine (2019) and the conferment of an Honorary Doctor of Letters for Distinguished Educational Leadership by the Global Leadership Forum in 2013
